My love's another kind

a massive post is coming soon i swear to you! ive just been a little pre-occupied with ..well, life! I love you all.

Alot of you have shared that you agree with me on my high anticipation for the new season. But tell me. What is one thing that you'll miss about winter and one thing you really look forward to about spirng/ summer. and why???

I'll miss the fireplace because it reminds me of being a little kid and always drawing houses with the fireplace running/ smoke tumbling out the chimney.

but i really can't wait to live in a soggy bathing suit for the next six months and always smell like sun screen and bbq. And it will most likely be my last full spring-summer on the west coast for a while.

O.K, this is a picture I took a few years back of my best friends kittens, Boo kitty and baby cat. It was in the middle of summer and i think they were mesmorized by dragonflies or something. They're so precious!

So i've killed two birds with one stone. I've done some of my school work and read about eight stories today. they were from the text book and about 5 pages each but i think that should definetly count for something. And yesterday I purchased my dream lace curtains so i'll do something artistic with them in a bit.

1. DO SCHOOL WORK!!!!!

2. Get New York Film Academy application.(I already found a place to stay in Brooklyn!!!!!!)

3. Do something artistic again(artistic block is over)

5. I don't really know it's just nicer to have a list of five rather than four.

May seem basic, but they are things that keep seeming to flutter away from me...

Lately, I've had an undying urge to burn everything i own and start over fresh! I know it's unhealthy but every since i was little ive never like what i had. I appreciate them, yet i don't like them...it's kind of hard to explain. Like if a kid in a shelter was given ugly worn loafers, he appreciates that he has them yet may not like them.

....And so i load everything

into their bags and off

they go to Goodwill...

And in comes brand new
things only to sooner or
later be hated,
packed up,
and hauled off with the rest.

Class of '09

So I hope you all had a wonderful New Years!! Mine was amazing fun. I spent it with my mom, her friends and me in 60 years. haha no really this old woman looked and acted exactly like me from the way she wore her hair, to the clothes on her back (uh-oh hehe)

and was the most achingly sweet person i've ever known in my entire life. Shes shy and quiet like me and so she spoke real gentle and wrapped me in a blanket with her stiff body and soothed me with her eyes.

She told me stories of when she lived in LA and would go walking at night after she put her children to bed and would make friends with different gang members. they would even help her across the street when the light wouldn't stop....honestly the closest thing i've ever had to a grandmother.

Today was spent putting away Christmas decor, reading all the poetry i could grab at the cafe and strolling up and down the san diego seaport. it was freezing and dark and i just wanted to be in the moment so i didn't invite my camera but it was really serene.

There was a thick blanket of fog hovering over the harbor and tons of girlfriends wrapped up in their boyfriends arms, sipping coffee and watching people watch them.

I enjoyed the whole experience. I bought a book too. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". So I'm going to go read that. I'm going to read more this year :) Reccomendations would be appreciated.
